Death on the Downbeat

A most unpopular guest conductor, Maestro Bigherr, has been murdered. Everyone in Symphony Hall is a suspect and before the night is over, the murderer will strike again.

The cast includes a fastidious detective, a mysterious “lady in red,” a bumbling police sergeant, a guilty-looking orchestra and a very nervous conductor. This full length pops concert provides a splendid evening of classic film music and a delightfully different who-done-it murder. In keeping with the “Film Noir” of the concert, characters are costumed in 1940s dress.
